Mountain Sage is a friend of mine and has done some fantastic work tracking down the API and exposing them for the frauds they very likely are.
Now that Mr. Korir is scrubbing his website, Mountain Sage has gone into overdrive to try to make sure that this alleged scam artist is truly brought out of the shadows and into the light.
She contacted me to help her track a few things down for her and to help out with some background research on Sammy Korir. I used to work as a researcher, so it's like second nature to me. "No problem," I said.... And I got to work.
I wasn't having much luck at first. I narrowed my search parameters tighter and tighter expecting to filter out a bunch of the junk, but still nothing... just comments and statements about the Michelle Obama tape hoax, and the API website. Nothing new, nothing solid, nothing on who Korir actually was.
So I decided to start from the largest search parameter possible... "Korir" and began scrolling through thousands of articles, documents, blogs and websites.
And then I began to find tidbits here and there...
1. Korir is a Kenyan name
2. The Korir family is from the Kalenjin tribe
3. The Kalenjin tribe was on the side of Raila Odinga during the violent protests against Kikibaki and the election... as was Obama's brother and much of Obama's tribe, the Luo, incidentally.
So I began to narrow things down in another direction. I figured "Sammy" would not be that common of a name for a Kenyan... hell, I don't even know of that many Americans or Englishmen named Sammy, so Kenya has to have fewer people with that name. And a "Sammy Korir" has got to be much more rare. And a "Sammy Kipketer Korir" has got to be incredibly rare...
And then I found "Sammy Korir"... a world class Kenyan Marathon Runner.
But no... that couldn't be him... the middle name didn't match.
Then I found Kipketer Korir, actually Paul Kipketer Korir, another Kenyan Track and Field star.
I suspect that not only is the API website a scam and the Michelle Obama tapes don't exist, I also suspect that good old Sammy Korir doesn't really exist either.
I realize that you can find his name in Norway's online telephone books, but that doesn't mean it's not a pseudonym. Entering a faked name into a telephone book is a very simple thing to do.
I also find it very curious that all these people with special knowledge of Mr. Korir keep popping up on relatively minor blogs like Mountain Sage and mine. I mean, if it were Kos maybe, CNN ok... but within 12 hours on Texas Hill Country? Really? I find that pretty suspicious as well.
Regardless, way to go and be a stereotype Mr. Online African Scam Artist man....

You can find his name/address in white pages/telco sites from Norway. It is associated with "Rainbow foundation" and the municipality is Asker.
This comes from someone who knows him very well. I am born in Kenya, and is ashamed to say this guy comes from there. For the last 20 years, this man Sammy Korir has beeb cheating and blackmailing people in Norway. 10 - 15 years ago, he was arrested in Germany, for crimes commited in Kenya. As a Norwegian citizen, he was just shipped back here, even though the Kenyan police through Interpol wanted him. This socalled Rainbow is another scam from day 1. He got a lot of money from Oslo city and Norwegian healht authorities. All the money went to pubs in Oslo. He has been blackmailing diplomats, policemen and politicians for years, but is very slimy to catch. For those of you who knows Oslo, he is banned from allmost all bars where africans meet, for causing noise, putting drugs in peoples drinks etc. I Hope you understand I will not put my name because of my children. He is an expert on manipulating people to believe him. Just forget him, and let him crawl back to the cave he came from. Many africans work hard to make a life in Norway, and this man is a shame to all of us.
No, THC, I disagree. He exists. I have emails from people who know he exists. I have them posted on my blog.
BTW, some of his little supporters are trying to get me shut down.
I forgot...I spoke to the gentleman from Rainbow Foundation who called the API number and got someone on the phone who answered as Sammy.
Sammy exists.
I'm a Dane working in Norway. There is a number of articles in norwegian newspapers saying that Sammy Korir is one big liar. The hole story from API on the Michelle tapes is pure spin. Wish you could read norwegian!
I find your research you have done is excellent, but we must not blame ourselves for the being taken in, actually I believe it is another rouse to take us off the trail of discovery, I fallen for it, some of the best have. I am still sitting back shocked this man is elected President, I found less infraction by others taken down, this man shuffled his aunt from Kenya living in Boston, shuffled her around brought her to his swearing in ceremony of his Senate, and she is a blatantly illegally in this country. I have seen politicians who gone down for hiring illegals to clean there houses and not even realize it go down. We must keep up this work, and bring all to light it is important for the Democracy of the country. I believe to make people aware and getting them involved is the answer. Not just with Obama but all...

Hardly the findings of an experienced researcher.
I suppose you're also impressed by your superior research powers that revealed a wonderful online tool called 'Google'.
...and further - I find it a little shallow that you delight in helping to have a site removed from WordPress. You know - stomping all over another person's right to free speech.
API never asked readers for money. Maybe they were spinning a good yarn - maybe they had some real info.
This internet thuggery of silencing persons whose views you do not agree with is typical of the left. If Democratic propaganda isn't being spewed then the source must be quashed.

actually, the tool i used is called lexis.
also, this is the first article i have ever published about Mr. Korir and had no part in shutting down his website.
And I have no beef with his right to say these things, I also have the right to tell the truth.
In addition, as a non-US citizen, he has no right to free speech under the US constitution, much less the wordpress TOS.
And one thing I am most certainly not doing is working for the Obama campaign. I am actually one of the original group of PUMA's and JustSayNoDeal'ers...

The fact is that if you google Sammy Korir the first result you get is Sammy Korir the long distance runners wikipedia entry. Yet in your article you somehow try to impress upon the reader that you performed some sort of clever research feat. Your research ability is laughable.
If you have no beef with API - then why are you smearing them on your site? Why not 'blog and let blog'? Why would you attack API unless you had an agenda against them? You wouldn't.
I could care less about where Mr Korir resides. He does not need to be covered by the US Constitution to be granted a right of free speech on an internet blog.
Attacks against him and his site are nothing more than attempts to quash his right to free speech. The country he resides in is not quashing his free speech - it is a gang of American bloggers who can't stand to hear bad things about Barack Hussein.
It matters little to me who you supported during the election cycle. What does matter is your attempts to smear Mr Korir - and your former site on WordPress has numerous links to articles that smear Mr Korir as well. Don't try to play 'innocent lil' me' on this.
This is nothing more than typical left wing tactics to smear and silence those you disagree with because they refuse to spout Democrat propaganda 24/7.

Multiple anonymouses, read Sammy’s own autobiography and you will find it to be consistent with what had been previously unearthed by those doing due diligence on him.
His site was removed, not because of what anyone else may have written or attempts to squelch free speech, but because of what he wrote and did himself.
He had a fake charity soliciting funds, taking away from real children with terminal diseases. He posted private information (emails and ip addresses) and he posted news stories written by others under his name without attributing credit to the original author.
Given that, why in the world would you possibly believe in such an individual?
Texas and Mountain, There has to be some link to Korir in the WorldNetDaily Corsi Kenyan documents he came back with and they are placed on the website.
I was reading API when someone posted Odinga's strategy to win election in Kenya with the political donations listing Friends of Obama and others. I went back later and it was gone. There may be something there that Korir did not want public or tied to him in some way.

Also there was a email placed on the website from missionaries in Kenya for 10 years. If you can find that they may have what you want.
I thought the parts that were released of the tape sounded like MO. From both Obama and Michelle's histroy they do not have a lot of good to say about Americans and they talk about how being African American held them back and made them feel not accepted in the White mans world.
Also some audio tape online of Berg saying he heard excerpts of the MO tape. I can't really tell if he meant he HEARD excerpts or he read them like the rest of us did. That tape is online at a website like www.aun,,,something.
anonymous, if going to the new website has people with like mind and posting as you have ehibited here, I doubt anyone will follow the link. You have made a sad case for why you believe in Korir and you have posted nothing but insults to make your point. That is what Korir is being accused of and your comments make it even clearer.
It may well be true the tapes of MO raging against API. What are Korir's motives for not revealing the tape? Is it money? Korir said he as promised 3 million by Obama's campaign but that cannot be verified. Korir said he would verify it and he never did.
Then Korir places someone with the name of sullivan and blocks out who he is or his email. But Korir was quick to expose anyone who doubted him with their email posted on the website.
Think back at all the sudden problems that would once again stall his followers from hearing the tape they hoped would reveal the true MO to the world.
Korir decided to tell everyone who he was. He goes into detail of how in Norway you are not fully accepted but he may go back into secret service there? Or did I get that wrong?
Mr Korir has a motive or that tape would been aired before the election. That tape would have been a hot item for anyone. Korir has something else in mind. Maybe adulation as you are giving him or he has a motive to ruin Obama because of Obama's actions in Kenya against the government there in 2006. Then the subsequent emails between Odinga and Obama during Odinga's election.
Or maybe he just found a way to get free gifts from Americans and was getting ready to set them up for donations.
Or he is for real. Just like Obama, he is not transparent so it is own fault that anyone has doubts.
